Implementing Efficient Graphs in Connection Networks

We consider the problem of sharing the cost of a network that meets the connection demands of a set of agents. The agents simultaneously choose paths in the network connecting their demand nodes. A mechanism splits the total cost of the network formed among the participants. We introduce two new properties of implementation. The first prop- erty, Pareto Nash Implementation (PNI), requires that the efficient out- come is always implemented in a Nash equilibrium, and that the efficient outcome Pareto dominates any other Nash equilibrium. The average cost mechanism (AC) and other assymetric variations, are the only rules that meet PNI. These mechanisms are also characterized under Strong Nash Implementation. The second property, Weakly Pareto Nash Implementation (WPNI), requires that the least inefficient equilibrium Pareto dominate any other equilibrium. The egalitarian mechanism (EG), a variation of AC that meets individual rationality, and other assymetric mechanisms are the only rules that meet WPNI and Individual Rationality. PNI and WPNI provide the first economic justification of the Price of Stability (PoS), a seemingly natural measure in the computer science literature but not easily embraced in economics. Solutions without dummy axiom for TU cooperative games

In this paper we study an expression for all additive, symmetric and efficient solutions, i.e., the set of axioms that traditionally are used to characterize the Shapley value except for the dummy axiom. Also, we obtain an expression for this kind of solutions by including the self duality axiom. These expressions allow us to give an alternative formula for the consensus value, the generalized consensus value and the solidarity solution. Furthermore, we introduce a new axiom called coalitional independence which replaces the symmetry axiom and use it to get similar results.axiomatic characterization

Group strategyproof cost sharing: Mechanisms without indifferences

Summary. Every agent reports his willingness to pay for one unit of good. A mechanism allocates some goods and cost shares to some agents. We generalize cross-monotonic and sequential mechanisms discussed in Juarez [2007] to provide three alternative characterizations of the group strategyproof mechanisms in an economy without indifferences. These mechanisms are also characterized in this economy by strategyproofness and non-bossiness. We extend the above mechanisms to an economy with indifferences and characterize them by strategyproof and a weak non-bossy condition. These mechanisms are also weakly group strategyproof in the new economy

POR PERTENECER EL PROGRAMA DE ESTUDIOS AL PNPC, EL ALUMNO OBTUVO BECA CONACYTA pesar de los avances logrados en salud sexual y reproductiva, aún es elevado el número de embarazos no planificados que ocurren en la población adolescente y joven, lo cual representa un desafío para el país. Un embarazo no planificado, es aquel que se efectúa sin el deseo o planificación previa y ante la ausencia o fallo de métodos anticonceptivos adecuados y la inefectividad o no administración de métodos anticonceptivos de emergencia que prevengan un posible embarazo. Ante la existencia de embarazos no planificados en jóvenes universitarias, se consideró necesario realizar un análisis desde el campo de la sociología de la salud que permita conocer cuál es la influencia familiar. El objetivo de esta investigación fue distinguir la influencia de la familia ante embarazos no planificados en universitarias, a través de una metodología cualitativa se aplicó una entrevista semiestructurada a alumnas del Centro Universitario UAEM, Nezahualcóyotl que se encontraban embarazadas o tuvieron un proceso de embarazo, lo anterior se permitió generar las categorías factores individuales, características familiares, ambiente familiar, papel del padre y madre. Los resultados de esta investigación fueron analizados desde la mirada de las representaciones colectivas de Durkheim, la complejidad de Morin y la determinación social de Breilh. Las aportaciones de esta investigación se suman a los esfuerzos para analizar esta problemática en salud desde la perspectiva sociológica, la cual considera la influencia del entorno social y familiar para prevenir situaciones de salud como lo es el embarazo no planificado en estudiantes de nivel superior.CONACY

New abelisaurid skeletal remains from La Invernada (Bajo de la Carpa Formation, Santonian), northwestern Patagonia, Argentina

The La invernada fossil area (Bajo de la Carpa Formation, Santonian) has provided abundant dinosaur remains, which are mainly represented by titanosauriform sauropods and abelisaurid theropods. The latter include Viavenator exxoni and other partial skeletons.
